Why KABO is different
Is this just another standard curry powder?
Not even close. Standard curry powder is a generic, one-size-fits-all blend. KABO provides artisan, multi-layered dry meal kits that respect traditional regional recipes, like the fiery Maharashtrian Kolhapuri or earthy South Indian Madras, giving you the complex depth of a slow-simmered sauce in minutes.
Do I really not need to chop any onions, garlic, or ginger?
Zero chopping required. We toast, grind, and balance the aromatics directly into the dry blend. All you need to do is heat a splash of oil, toss in your protein or vegetables, add the KABO pack, and simmer with water or coconut milk.
How do these differ from supermarket jar pastes?
Supermarket jars are often bulked out with water, hidden sugars, thickeners, and preservatives that mute the real flavor of the spices. KABO is 100% natural, clean, raw spice. Because it's a dry artisan kit, the essential oils and rich aromas only wake up the moment they hit your hot pan.
Where are your spice blends made?
We source premium spices from trusted growing regions across India. Once they arrive, we meticulously hand-blend and pack every single pouch right here in Melbourne, Australia to ensure maximum freshness.
The Spice Pantry
From Our Kitchen to Yours
KABO was built on a simple conviction that the depth and soul of real Indian regional cooking shouldn't require hours in the kitchen or a culinary degree to achieve.
Our founder, a trained chef with roots in Melbourne's food scene, spent years watching people reach for supermarket jars not because they wanted to, but because authentic Indian cooking felt out of reach. Too many ingredients to prep. Too much that could go wrong.
KABO is the answer to that problem. Every blend is built on the same principles that define great regional Indian cooking — proper spice layering, authentic flavour profiles, and absolutely nothing artificial. We draw from the cooking traditions of Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and beyond, and bring them to your weeknight table in 20 minutes.
Made in Melbourne. Inspired by India. Built for real life.

What Our Customers Are Saying
"Made the Coconut Curry with prawns on a Tuesday night. My husband thought I'd ordered from the restaurant down the road."
"I'm not a confident cook but the Madras was stupidly easy. Threw it on with some lamb — best thing I've eaten at home in years."
"As someone who grew up eating proper Indian food, I was sceptical. The Kolhapuri proved me wrong. That heat is real and the depth is genuinely there."

"Bought the 4-pack as a gift for my sister and ended up keeping it. The Madras and Kolhapuri together in one week was a proper flavour journey."
